Understand the basic difference
FCL means full container load: the freight arrangement is for a container rather than a shared portion. LCL means less-than-container load: smaller shipments share container space through consolidation.
Maersk describes FCL pricing at container level and LCL as a way to move smaller volumes without paying for a whole container. Actual quotation terms, minimums and surcharges still need to be checked.
Give the coordinator useful measurements
Share the number of packages, their individual dimensions, gross weight and packing method. Say whether the goods are stackable and whether any handling restrictions apply.
Photos can help explain an unusual package, but they do not replace measurements. If the final packing is not ready, label figures as estimates and explain when confirmed measurements will be available.

- What origin handling is included?
- What destination and local charges are excluded?
- Which pickup and delivery locations does the quotation cover?
- What schedule assumptions apply?
- What happens if the cargo dimensions change?
A lower headline freight figure is not necessarily the lower total for the movement you actually need.
Make the decision shipment by shipment
Discuss volume, packing, route and schedule together. A repeat shipment with different dimensions or a different delivery requirement may deserve a fresh comparison.
